Prom 2013

This weekend Blake went to his Prom
He spent the past week at camp with a bunch
of 5th graders :)
So, I know he was really looking forward
to a night of dressing up and hanging out
with his friends!

I know I'm his Mom
BUT
how gorgeous is my boy?!?!?!

and
what about these two handsome guys??
Looking at this picture I notice that
they are all almost the exact same height!!

Always the perfect shot with Lucy!

I really think candid shots are some of my favorites!
The girls were just arriving, and the boys
were seeing them for the first time :)

Andrea is a sweet girl Blake is dating,
she and her friend Hannah (red dress) attend
another high school

One of my absolute favorites of the night
LOOK at the blue eyes on these two!

and...Lucy can always get a great shot!

These boys have been friends since we first moved into
our neighborhood and Blake was in 2nd grade!
Brandon and Nick (the two on the left) are both
headed to WSU.
Blake and Devin both want to be Firefighters
and will attend the fire service program
at a technical college!
( and yes, they have already picked their months for the firefighter catalog!! hahaha)
not kidding :)

Blake and Aidan
Aidan left for the Marines the day after Prom
The boys are all so proud of him, but are sad he will not be there
on Saturday when they graduate

Half of my heart right there!!
It seems like just yesterday we did all this for Powell
and now it's Blake's turn!

And they're off!!
They had a gorgeous country club venue
but before that had a professional photo shoot
on the water with the Seattle skyline in the background..
can't wait to share those photos!!

So, next up...
we have a Grad Party here Friday night
and
Saturday is Graduation Day!!!

Happy 50th Birthday Toby!

This year Toby turned 50
I have said it many times but it bears repeating
he is the most selfless, kind, patient, even tempered
positive, caring person I know.
I could not have chosen a better man to be my husband
and father my children.

So this year I wanted to really celebrate ALL that he is
and means to our family...so I threw him a "sort of " surprise party.
I didn't tell him about it, and when he came home from work
and all the prep was going on in the kitchen...
then I spilled the beans!

It was a great night full of family and friends
whom we love spending time with!

I asked each of the boys to "toast" their Dad
and they did not disappoint!
I am so proud of each of them, and their willingness to
share their heart right there in front of some of the
most important people in our lives.

Happy Happy Birthday Toby!
You are the ROCK of our family
and
the LIGHT of my life!

Happy 16th Birthday to Bennett!!

May 19th we celebrated Bennett's 16th Birthday!
Really hard to imagine my baby boy is going to
get his drivers license in a few weeks and
is applying for summer jobs...don't blink!

We had a small family celebration with dinner and
a really delicious cake
(a recipe I found on Pinterest)

Happy 16th Birthday Bennett!!

It's been awhile....

Obviously my blog has taken a major backseat lately, I thought it might be time
for a little catch up.
We have so many things happening here in the next month, I thought now would be a good time!

Powell is home from WSU for the summer which is so fun...you know I love when all
my babes are under one roof....it's loud, it gets messy, but I love it!!

We are winding down our school year, and with that it means Senior Prom for Blake and Graduation.

He asked his date last week, and she said "yes"!

Bennett will celebrate his 16th birthday this Sunday...HOW in the world did that happen?!?!?!

Last month he attended a Leadership camp at Joint Base Lewis McChord with his JROTC class.
The minute I saw him in his uniform, reality hit....he is not a boy any longer.

Somebody is turning 50 next week (his name starts with a T:)
so, I have been busy planning a party for the best hardest working guy
I know!

I am currently working on a baby shower for a client with my
Party 'til Dawn business which is exciting, and then will cap it off with
a Grad Party for Blake the next week!

On top of it all, I recently became an Independent Consultant for
Thirty-One.
I had hosted a launch party for a friend, loved the
products and the company, which is based off of Proverbs 31,
so I decided to earn a little extra money and have fun while doing it!!
You can check out my website here

So, that's my little "catch up".
It surely wont be so long between posts as
things start to get moving this weekend!!

Cheers!!

Easter Sunday

Here are a few Easter Day pics
kind of pathetic really :)

Sleepy Lucy excited for her Easter basket
we just let the boys sleep rather
than having grumpy guys!

The bunny brought Lucy her favorite chips, some candy, a leopard cami,
cute tissues, rain boots for her American Girl doll, a scented glue stick
and a bunny that "poops" jelly beans :)

We went back to my Mom's for Panini sandwiches with leftovers
and just had a relaxing day!

We decided we wanted to let balloons go for the special people we have lost
in our lives!
♥Jeff, Nana (Toby's Mom) Uncle Roy, Darren, Michelle, Uncle Al, Dale, and my Grandma
and Grandpa♥

and we played a little frisbee!

It was a Happy Easter!
